Sports Environment Alliance welcomes Belgravia Leisure as a member


The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) has informed that the Belgravia Health and Leisure Group Pty Ltd has joined “the #SEAFamily”.

With its main areas of activity and management of facilities, including fitness clubs, wellness and spa, accommodation, caravans and campsites, golf, water and sports venues in locations across Australia and New Zealand, SEA advises that the activity of the Belgravia group “fits perfectly into the SEA fold”.

Explaining that environmental sustainability is a high priority for the company, and looking forward to leveraging SEA’s expertise and network in this area, Belgravia Leisure Managing Director Nick Cox said that “sports activities and recreational activities are important to the health and fitness of our community. providing these services in the most sustainable and efficient manner possible is key.

“As an organization, we have an obligation to ensure that we minimize our impact on the environment in order to provide a safer and greener world for future generations. “

Welcoming Belgravia Leisure, SEA CEO Dr Sheila Nguyen said #SEAFamily looks forward to collaborating with an organization that prioritizes sport as well as the planet and has a deep connection to community through more than 40 local government and government partners.

Dr Nguyen noted that “the water sports, recreation and recreation industry has so many opportunities to be a community leader in planetary health efforts and we look forward to Belgravia Leisure joining the family efforts. SEA to protect our places of play for generations to come “.

Belgravia Leisure has developed a five-year sustainable development plan with four key pillars to ensure its success.

Through the use of greener technologies, behavioral changes, financial and business improvements, and consumption management, the organization is successfully working towards the environmental goals it has set for itself.

Cox added, “Our most recent sustainability achievements include: reduced CO2 emissions from business travel; reduced paper consumption; creating a green team with representatives across the organization to share new sustainability initiatives; and since July 2019, the sites managed by Belgravia Leisure have not used disposable cutlery, disposable plastic bags or plastic straws.

SEA was created to protect and enhance Australasian natural environment by promoting sustainability, sustainable development, regeneration and resource use.

SEA also recently welcomed Dick Johnson Racing and Western United Football Club among its members.
